Macro is a small community based charity aiming to help the lives of rural Ugandans through a number of privately financed development projects.

Macro was founded in 2001 by Travis Bogere a charismatic young Ugandan with a vision to help those least able to help themselves. Despite limited funds Travis has built Macro into an organisation with multiple projects including the following:

Primary School Teaching 140 Village Orphans & Adult Evening Classes
28 Councillors Providing Support To Aids Affected Communities
Funded Numerous Projects To Enable Sustainable Small Community Based Commerce (read more)
Built 8 Wells Providing Clean Water to 8000 Plus People Helping To Eliminate Cholera, Typhoid & Dysentery. This is saving lives.
Established A Trade Training Centre For Teenagers Unable To Afford Schooling

How To Help

With the increasing discontent with giving blind to a charity with little knowledge of where your donation goes Macro is now able to offer a way to ensure your money ends up where intended. You choose your project, and visit it to ensure that the money has been spent the way you wanted. Through limited red tape and administration costs your money in full goes to the people that need it. Get Involved Now

How It Works

Contact a Macro Trustee in the UK and choose a suitable project (eg a water well, school funding,)
Finalise your donation budget and intended project.
Send the funds and arrange a field trip to review the success.
Travel to Uganda and see what difference you have made staying with the people you have helped (you can combine your field trip with a holiday too)

hi macro members i greet you in the name of our lord Jesus christ.iam a student of Ndejje university persuing a bachelor’s degree in Guidance and counseling in my second year.as a preliquisit for that award iam supposed to carry out my field work where i will be supervised.When i read through your website i picked an interest of working with you.
I would therefore extend my request to you to allow me carry out my field work studies from there starting june next year.Iam a resident of Mukono district from Nama sub-county.i would also to know whether you have some accomodation places for us people in that category and the works which we are supposed to do there.Thanks so much for your positive response in advance.LOnging to hear more from you through the above email address.
